Parker A-1 Special, Upgrade, 12 bore, 2 Frame size, double triggers, splinter fore end, 2 3/4" chambers, 30" steel barrels choked .025 IM and .041 Full, 7 lbs. 6 oz., 14 1/4" LOP to engraved heel and toe plates, 1 1/2" DAC, 2 1/8" DAH, neutral cast, straight grip, checkered side panels with drop points, vacant stock shield, extractors. This gun is an after factory upgrade with the action and stock work done by Gene Hopper, the case hardening and blue by Doug Turnbull, and the engraving by Stephen Olin. This gun started as a Trojan which created a lot of action reshaping and the gun took a total of four years to complete. I just spoke with Gene and asked why he started with a Trojan instead of a VH considering how much extra work it would be and he responded that he wanted to see if he could do it. Well, he did and it's a stunning gun. This gun is priced at least $2,000 under what a Japanese A-1 reproduction would cost.
