John Dickson Round Action Triggerplate, 12 bore, 2 3/4" chambers, 30" original and beautiful browned damascus barrels that have been Teague-lined and with a new Birmingham nitro proof, choked .018 Mod. and .018 Mod., ejectors, 6 lbs. 14 oz., 14 5/8" LOP over original checkered horn butt plate, 1 5/8" DAC, 2 3/8" DAH, 1/8" cast off for right hand shooters, finely detailed full coverage scroll engraving, straight grip, splinter fore end, double triggers, gold oval in stock engraved with a lion and "Sur Esparance", highly figured walnut, action engraved "John Dickson & Son, Patent" on both sides, rib engraved "John Dickson & Son, 63 Princess Street, Edinburgh", early Dickson gold pop-up cocking indicators, scarce fleur checkering border, automatic safety with "SAFE" in gold, circa 1885. These Dickson round actions are still one of the few guns that truly speaks to most people when they see and hold it. Excellent condition with only a few minor handling marks, engraving is sharp on the action, nice and tight. These earlier damascus Dicksons are always some of the most beautifully engraved guns and the damascus pattern is equally georgous with the advantage of having been lined inside at Teague in England so you can shoot them with confidence.
