Hardy The LRH Salmon Fly (as new), 14 ft, 3/2, 24 oz., 10 wt, ordered in the 1970s by noted Steelhead fisherman Chuck Doke, this rod is absolutely new condition just as it was delivered by Hardy, long two-handed grip with down locking reel seat, rubber end cap, wraped in red silk tipped in green, ferrules are wrapped in copper, blued screw locking ferrules, ferrule plugs, stripping guide is translucent brown agate or synthetic agate and tip tops are either clear agate or synthetic agate, original bag with label still attached (delivered without tube), folks this is a serious salmon rod with plenty of power to throw a long line on big water, it will require about a 6/0 size reel to balance correctly. Hardy won't make this rod today but if they did, it would sell for more than $3000.00. Here are some of the impressive dimensions: the bamboo ahead of the grip is 5/8" in diameter, the stripping guide is 1" in diameter, the butt ferrule is over 1/2" in diameter and almost 4 inches long.
