Edwards, W.E. F-12 Bristol, 8 ft. 6 in., 5/6 wt, 3/2, sliding band over wood spacer, varigated jasper and white wraps tipped in red, bright ferrules, bronzed guides, following Eustis' death in 1931 the two sons, W.E. (Bill) and Gene moved into the Bristol plant honoring the family agreement with Martin Treadway of the Bristol Rod Company. Bill made the "Bristol" production rods including this F-12 until about 1940 when he started the W.E. Edwards Rod Company and began making the "Quad" rods. This F-12 Bristol rod has the better wood reel seat and fancier windings than many, the varnish is very dark on the rod and is written "Bristol" and "F-12" on adjacent flats, there is also a Bristol label still attached to the cork grip so this rod may have never been used, the rod does look completely original, comes with the original tube and labeled bag, the tube cap has a few splits in it but is still functional with the help of some tape.
