D.L. Whitehead Custom Baitcaster, 6, 2/2, 4.5 oz., a one-of-a-kind rod from Daryll that replicates a vintage E.C. Powell Tournament baitcaster, reddish brown silk wraps tipped in gold, all bright classic wire band agate guides including wire banded agate tip tops (that's eleven agate guides), nickel silver downlocking reel seat over circassian walnut filler, fully engraved reel seat and engraved inset grip cap, full intermediate wraps, bright nickel silver ferrules with a mammoth ivory ferrule plug, it's an unbelievably fast rod that should throw from a 1/2 oz. up to maybe even a 3/4 oz. lure a good old fashioned country mile. I know all you fly rod purists are rolling your eyes but I wish you had a chance to hold and see this rod...it is just sweet looking and feeling and makes you want to try it out and, who out there didn't spend some time on farm ponds in their youth with a rod like this?
