Reams, James & Blake, Steve Rod No. 1, 7 ft. 9 inch, 4 wt, 2/2, Reams is a well respected California rod builder from Powell influence and Steve Blake is one of the better rod restorers. A few years back they collaborated on a half dozen rods or so and this is rod number 1 and so marked. Reams made the rod and Blake did the finish work. Blued nickel silver sliding band over burled wood spacer, wrapped in brown silks, blued nickel silver ferrules and tip tops, bronze guides, hook keeper, nice rich medium-dark hand flame, with bag and aluminum tube, as new unfished condition with end cap having a few light marks likely from where tip tops rubbed in transit and some blue loss on the tip tops. Reams rods sell new today for over $2000.
