Payne 201, 8 ft, 3/2, 5 wt, bright uplocking reel seat with Payne logo over a cedar spacer, brown silk wraps tipped in black, hookkeeper, varnished, blued nickel silver ferrules, bronze snakes, a late 1950's Jim Payne rod that has been refinished at some point with the ferrules having been also reblued and a new mid section made, you can see a very slight lighter color in the photos on the mid, otherwise and full length, straight, and tight rod that will make a good fishing rod but not a collector rod. Comes with what is likely the original bag with some original owner writing on it (no tag) and a non-original tube. Weight is 4.5 oz. with the screw lock seat making it a rod that would catalogue at 4.0 oz if it had the slide band seat making it a 201. Priced at half what a typical 201 would be.
