Tom Morgan Graphite Rod, 8 ft. 6 in., 3 wt., 2/1, 2.7 oz., burgundy blank, burgundy wraps, bright nickel silver uplocking reel seat with nice two color burl spacer, maker's logo on bottom of end cap, red agatine stripper, hook keeper, cigar grip, with rod bag, tube, and tube bag, versatile light line rod with supple, sensitive tips for fishing small flies and tippets but enough power in the butt for good casting range, hexagonal rod tube with a pebble baked finish and a silver medallion set in the top of the end cap. Tom of course is the legendary rod designer and builder who made his name in the rod business when he was the owner of Winston for about a 20 year period. These are Tom's last rod designs and they embody his philosphy that a rod must load properly at fishing distances. These are the finest graphite rods on the market and are fairly scarce as Tom has been only building about 40 per year. We have stocked Tom's rods since we opened but sadly, with Tom's health, he is now reducing his output to only 12 rods per year. This rod is in near mint condition having been fished only a couple of times with care and has the original owners name inscribed. These cost new $1245 so you can save yourself $250 and a long wait.
