Kube, Alan Custom Engraved (new stock), 7 ft., 2/2, 4 wt, Alan is one of the best new rodbuilders around and does some of the best wrapping and varnish you will see, he also builds all of his components himself including his own ferrules and reel seats. This rod is based on the Heddon Featherweight 1/2 ferrule taper, reel seat is a nickel silver slide band that has been fully engraved by master engraver Paolo Barbetti (D. Whitehead's engraver), flame maple spacer, dark gold silk wraps with double tipping of black and red, blued nickel silver ferrules, agate stripper, fossilized mammoth ivory ferrule plug, bag and labeled aluminum tube with the brass cap having rod specs engraved. This is of course a beautiful rod but it is also one of the most interesting tapers I've felt in a while. It has a nice medium soft tip but the rod has lots of power reserve with it's gently swelled butt. It should excel at any casting distance.
