Walton Powell Hexagraph Graphite Rod, 9 ft., 7 wt., 2/1, burgundy wraps, uplocking aluminum reel seat over wood spacer, an original Walton Powell hexagraph rod. Powell developed these to get bamboo casting qualities out of graphite material. They are construction in six strip method just like bamboo with each triangular section having thin graphite on the sides with a high density hard foam material in the center to act like the pithy section on bamboo. They also have nickel silver ferrules and from a distance you can't tell they are not bamboo. They cast pretty close to bamboo meaning they are slower than most hollow round graphite. Most people who try them really like them. This one is near new condition without issues. A perfect streamer trout, bass, or light salmon rod. Comes with original bag and tube. One note, the tube seems to have had a problem with getting the brass end cap off point and the owner removed the bottom from the tube to access the rod.
