Eden Cane, Bernard Ramanauskas 805, 8', #5, 4.4 oz, 3/2, clear silk wraps with unique single red center ornamental wrap, slide ring reel seat, maker's logo stamped into end cap, oxidized snakes and agate stripper, oxidized nickel silver ferrules as well as oxidized tip tops, nodeless construction. The 805 is designed as sort of a big brother to the 794 rods. The 805 is fast and has a lot of power to throw a long line or power big flies in windier conditions. A perfect rod for bigger western water.

We are proud to be the newest dealer of Eden Cane rods. I see many rods around here and I have to say that seldom do rods surprise me. Those who have already seen our two new Eden Cane rods in the shop agree, there is just something special about these. Besides the technical merits of the nodeless construction and the wonderful tapers, besides the absolutely beautiful execution of the maker's art of wrapping and varnishing, there is more. What strikes me and those who see them, is the thought and execution of the overall aesthetic design. These rods conjure the Minimalism design which is highly influenced by Japanese traditional design....."less is more"....."simple elegance". There is certainly a connection to Modernism design as well. From the lines of the grip, the simple and minimal silk wraps, and the minimalistic reel seat hardware, these rods just stop you in your tracks. If fishing and casting can ever be art, then the rod must be art. If there were ever Zen rods for Zen fishing, these would have to be them. I think you have to see these in person to understand.
