Halger Waffen 280, No. 120 - Rare, .280 Halger High Velocity, 28" barrel, 10 lbs. 6 oz. (with scope), 13 9/16" LOP to checkered butt with horn heel and toe plates, magnum mauser action, island rear sight, ramp front sight, front barrel band swivel, steel grip cap, 2-panel checkered bolt knob, spring loaded floor plate with inside trigger guard release, light engraving on breech end of barrel, rear sight, and bottom fore-end screw and surrounding diamond plate, greener side safety present but disconnected and standart mauser safety added back and functional, barrel block mounted front scope ring, original rings and an Ajack (Germany) 4x scope, action engraved "Halger 280 H.V. Magnum", "Halger No. 120", barrel engraved " Halger Waffen, Hamburg", "Halger No. 120", "Bohler Special Steel". This is a super rare gun with only about 100 being made. This caliber was introduced with much limelight according to John Taylor due to it's super high velocity at the time. 100 grn bullet @ 3900 fps, 145 grn bullet @ 3500 fps, and a 180 grn bullet @ 3043 fps. It's light faded quickly due to high pressures requiring a magnum action, having a 28" barrel, and weighing in at about 10 1/2 pounds. Comes with a 6 page article by H.
