If you've recently followed the Bellinger nickel silver reels being made again in limited quantites, you would have noticed that Daryl Whitehead has been helping Al get these back to the market. The forming of the nickel silver rims are very time consuming hand work. You can't just cut these with a machine. Anyway, we asked for a version with Daryl's name on them instead of getting dual marked reels. These are the same nickel silver reels as we have with the Bellinger name except these are marked on the bottom "Whitehead Rod Co." and they are serial numbered starting with "01". These six are the first six made and serial numbered 01-06. At this time there have been no others made. These would be a perfect mate to a Whitehead bamboo rod of course but they certainly also have excellent investment potential considering how few will likely be made this way. The reels we have right now are spec'd the following: 01-3" narrow and white knob, 02-3" narrow and white knob, 03-2 3/4" narrow and white knob, 04-2 3/4" narrow and black knob, 05-3" wide and black knob, 06-2 3/4" wide and white knob. We can make any reel LH or RH retrieve.
