A.L. Walker & Son TR-3 Trout, 3", 15/16" spool width, 5.7 oz, center roller cross-pillar, fixed drag, aluminum rims and spool, stainless steel shaft and bronze bearings, hard rubber sideplates and handle knob. In the decades between the end of Otto Zwarg's production in the late 1950s and Joe Saracione's contemporary reels of today, these Arthur Walker reels were the high quality vom Hofe American style reel. This reel was made in the 1970s and is the most useful size holding a #4 line and 75 yards of backing or a #5 line and 50 yards of backing. It remains in wonderful condition free of any defects cosmetic or mechanical. This one has a mottled brown color to the rubber. I've never seen one made like this and it's possible it just faded to this color from black. Has the maker's marks on the bearing cap "Maker, A.L. Walker, NY". Comes with the seldom found original vinyl brown case and embroiderd reel bag.
