A.L. Walker & Son TR-3 Trout, 3", 15/16" spool width, 5.7 oz, center roller cross-pillar, fixed drag, aluminum rims and spool, stainless steel shaft and bronze bearings, black hard rubber sideplates and handle knob. In the decades between the end of Otto Zwarg's production in the late 1950s and Joe Saracione's contemporary reels of today, these Arthur Walker reels were the high quality vom Hofe American style reel. This reel was made in the 1970s and is the most useful size holding a #4 line and 75 yards of backing or a #5 line and 50 yards of backing. Stamped "3" on the bottom of the foot cross bar. It remains in wonderful condition free of any defects cosmetic or mechanical. This reel was purchased by the last owner years ago from famed steelhead fisherman and tyer Alec Jackson and Alec had lost the original rear plate bearing cap but his good friend Stanley Bogdan made a replacement for it and it remains on it today. This reel has the trademark silky smooth retrieve check and the strong drag check. This reel would normally sell for $2500 without the replacement bearing cap.
