Leonard Last Model Raised Pillar Trout, 3 1/8" across frame, 3 3/4" across the pillars, 7/8" width, machined of aluminum and anodized in silver and black, reversible, back mounted drag knob. These reels were ordered by Leonard in 1982 in a quantity of 200 and were made by Volstro Mfg. in Trevose, PA. Leonard ceased operations before any of the reels were shipped. Many of the reels were later sold through Leonard dealers. This reel is accompanied with a letter from the designer and production supervisor stating that a box containing the first 25 reels completed was found in 2002 in the possession of the retired owner of Volstro. This is one of those reels. It comes with the original two sided suede case, an extra leather drag washer, and extra spool. Looks to have possibly been fished just a couple of times and is in very near mint condition. A piece of Leonard history and with so few made, an interesting investment possibility.
