Paul Hermann Trout, RHW or LHW, 2 1/2" diameter, 1" spool width, 5.9 oz., serial number PH112, black anodized side plates but this reel has the hand polished rims instead of the anodized rims which gives it a very nice appearance especially against nickel silver reel seats, fixed check drag, the reel feels the same retrieved left or right hand and is in new unused condition just as it was delivered, with original soft drawstring bag, will hold up to a 4wt and backing. Not many people have had the pleasure of holding much less owning one of Dr. Hermann's hand-made salmon reels as they are very limited in production, the trout reel is almost never seen. This reel was originally one of a few that had slight imperfections in the black anodizing and Paul had held back from being sold. Most of these were given away to friends. He was talked into selling this one and agreed to serial number it. I believe it to be the last serial number used on the trout reels. There were supposed to be only 104 numbered and sold. A high quality, ultra scarce reel that years down the road, you will be sorry you didn't add to your collection. If you want one to fish, this is the one.
