Hardy Salmon Cascapedia 4/0 Ltd. Edition, This reel was first sold in 1932 and cost the same as a new Cadillac thus Hardy only sold 113 of the original reels making them one of the top collector reels today. The originals today bring upwards of $25,000 in good condition. In 1991 Hardy reissued 500 of these replicas of which only about 150 were available in the US. Each reel was hand-made by one of four Hardy master reel makers with each reel having the maker's name along with the serial number. It's a faithful reproduction of the original with only minor technical refinements. 4/0 size, hard rubber sideplates, stainless steel rims, aluminum spool, nickel silver appointments, 1.7/1 ratio multiplier, 7 position drag, 17.5 oz, 4 3/16" diameter, rated for 9-11 wt. lines, this reel is serial number 260 and made by Ian Evans, comes with block leather case, original box, papers, white gloves. Condition is as new in the box. These reels balance well on 12-14 foot bamboo spey rods. By the way, this is a more scare and desirable left hand wind reel.
