Stan Bogdan Model 300 Nordic Salmon with Spools, LHW, 3 3/4" diameter, 15 oz., spool diameter 3 1/4" and spool width 1 5/8", 2:1 ratio multiplier, holds up to a #12 line with 300 yards of 36 lb. test backing. At the time, this was Stan's largest capacity reel and made strictly for spey rods. Of course, the 400 surpassed the 300 being the only 4" reel but there are not many examples of either around. All gold anodized aluminum finish with black anodized handle, knobs, and foot. Comes with two spare spools made specifically for this reel. It looks as though the reel and spools were lined once because the backing remains but there is absolutely no evidence that the reel or spools have ever been used or even mounted on a rod. They remain in as new condition with the exception of the original owners name being professionally engraved on the front place. These size reels are very hard to find and one with extra spools that only fit this reel is likely impossible to find. All come in suede leather cases.
