Stan Bogdan Model No. 2 Large Salmon Multiplier, this is one of the reels Stan made for Orvis between 1957 and 1977 with the model number stamped into the side of the foot. 3 3/4" diameter, LHW, with the wide 1.375 spool width allows for a 10wt line and 200 yards of backing, 12.5 oz., the only larger capacity standard model made was the 400 Nordic (which you never see). 2:1 multiplier, gold anodized frame with black side plates. This reels made for Orvis were generally purchased at the Manchester shop or by mail order and rarely came with the normal leather bag. This reel comes with two spare spools and zippered leather cases for all have been added. The original owners name was professionally engraved on the front plate. Still in mint, unused condition. A scarce model and impossible to find with two extra spools.
