Simeonov, George Early Creel (New), size 3, approx. 14" wide x 9" tall x 5" deep, very scarce and hard to acquire Portland Oregon maker. Hand made creel with nicely tooled medium brown leather, half leathered top with snap leather closure on fish hole, sterling silver engraved maker's plate attached to front, same plate design stamped into the back of leather strap, 9" ruler tooled into back of top, this is a very early creel from George with the silver maker's plate, all silver metal fittings instead of the later/usual brass, and the strap buckle on top. George just doesn't make many creels period and many collectors search for a long time to find one. This one came directly to me from George's own personal collection and may be the first creel made by George. It's at least one of the first few.
